Developing the negatives to appreciate life

You can look at a picture for a week and never think of it again.  You can also look at a picture for a second and think of it all your life.

About Me

I have enjoyed photography for some years now.  Blessed with a great family and the opportunity to travel widely over the last couple of decades – my camera has been my companion whenever I visit a new country. I have recently joined the Camberwell Camera Club and hope to continue to learn the intricacies, joy and art of taking good photos. I hope to continue to develop the negatives to appreciate life by focussing on what is important.

Camino

The focal point and namesake of the Camino de Santiago is the city of Santiago de Compostela, located in Spain’s far northwest. The city, where legend has it that the martyr St. James is buried, became a rallying point for Europeans fighting the Moors in the eighth century, after a shepherd claimed to have seen a bright light in the skies above.

Eastern Europe

Regardless of whether you are visiting Dubrovnik for the first time or the hundredth, the sense of awe never fails to descend when you set eyes on the beauty of the old town. Indeed it’s hard to imagine anyone becoming jaded by the city’s white limestone streets, baroque buildings and the endless shimmer of the Adriatic, or failing to be inspired by a walk along the ancient city walls that protected a civilised, sophisticated republic for centuries.
